Kakaban Wall - Derawan Islands

Kakaban Wall sits on the outer edge of Kakaban Island, a short boat ride from Maratua. It’s a classic wall dive, dropping to around 27 meters, perfect for intermediate divers comfortable with depths. We often find ourselves drifting slowly along the face, eyes peeled for pelagics cruising by in the blue. Keep an eye out for white-tip reef sharks patrolling the deeper ledges and schools of jacks swirling in formation. It's not the most colourful reef in Derawan, but the sheer scale of the wall and the potential for larger animals make it a good steady dive.
