Police Corner - Komodo

Sherwood Forest is a cracking drift, a proper standout on Grenada’s Southwest Coast. We love how the reef drops off, starting at 17 metres and tumbling down to 27 metres on the deepest part we usually explore. The current here often picks up, giving you that lovely feeling of flying over the coral, which means you’re always covering ground and seeing something new. It’s a great spot for spotting bigger stuff – we’ve had some fantastic encounters with great barracuda here, just hanging still in the blue. Keep an eye out for those old anchors too, poking out of the reef, a cool reminder of the French cutting lines during naval skirmishes. Visibility tends to average around 14 metres, which is decent enough for the scale of this site. This isn't a poke-and-prod kind of dive; it's more about the panorama. We often see hogfish and French grunts schooling closer to the reef, while the deeper sections can sometimes surprise you with dusky cusks or even a suspicious lizardfish perched on the sand. It’s an ideal dive for those who enjoy a bit of movement and the chance to see pelagics cruising by.
