With 238+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, giant moray eels, pygmy seahorses, seahorses and sperm whales - Batu Mandi offers some of Sulawesi's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest June, October, November.
Batu Mandi is a solid drift dive off Sulawesi, best tackled when the currents are running. We've seen a good mix of pelagics here, like white tip reef sharks cruising the deeper sections and schooling jacks further up. It’s a site for experienced divers comfortable with moving water, offering a quick, exciting ride along the reef wall.
