Why dive here
With 238+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, giant moray eels, pygmy seahorses, seahorses and sperm whales - Iris offers some of Sulawesi's richest reef diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest June, October, November.
Iris offers a classic Sulawesi coral reef dive. We’ve found it’s usually a gentle drift over healthy hard and soft corals, a good spot for spotting the usual reef fish like fusiliers and triggerfish. It’s a comfortable dive, well-suited for those looking for a relaxed exploration rather than a high-octane pelagic encounter. Visibility tends to be decent, often around 15-20 meters.
