Why dive here
With 238+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, giant moray eels, pygmy seahorses, seahorses and sperm whales - Jumrah Baginda offers some of Sulawesi's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest June, October, November.
Jumrah Baginda offers a solid, easy dive, good for getting your buoyancy dialed in. We usually see a decent collection of reef fish here: parrotfish grazing, a few triggerfish, maybe a passing fusilier school. It’s a good spot for a relaxed second dive, or for less experienced divers looking to build confidence without strong currents.
