Kobor Island, tucked away in Sulawesi’s Banggai Regency, offers a pleasant dive, a good option if you’re looking for a quieter spot away from the more talked-about sites. The reef here is healthy, with plenty of hard corals forming intricate structures that shelter a decent variety of smaller reef fish. We’ve spotted plenty of anemonefish darting amongst their host anemones, along with parrotfish munching on the coral. It’s a comfortable dive, generally without strong currents, making it suitable for divers who prefer a relaxed pace and appreciate solid coral ecosystems over big pelagic action.
