Likuan 2 - Sulawesi

Likuan 2 is a site we’ve always enjoyed, a dependable classic when you’re diving Bunaken. It's a wall dive, like many here, but the sheer density of soft corals draping down is what grabs you. Think purples, oranges, and fiery reds swaying gently in the current – it’s a living curtain. We often drop in, let the current carry us, and just drift along the face, eyes peeled for the smaller stuff. The big draw here for us are the anemonefish. You’ll spot pink anemonefish in almost every anemone, constantly darting and juking. Keep an eye out for the occasional whitetip reef shark patrolling deeper, and if you’re incredibly lucky, a whale shark might cruise by in the blue. We’ve found the best light hits the wall mid-morning, really making those colours pop. This spot is brilliant for photographers, or anyone who appreciates a vibrant, dynamic reef.
