With 238+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, giant moray eels, pygmy seahorses, seahorses and sperm whales - Makhruzi offers some of Sulawesi's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest June, October, November.
Makhruzi, in Sulawesi, presents a solid drift dive along a sloping reef. We often spot reef sharks cruising the deeper sections and plenty of schooling fish in the shallows. It’s a good spot for divers comfortable with current looking for a relaxed exploration rather than a macro hunt. Expect competent boat handling for pickup.
