Manuk Island - Sulawesi

Manuk Island, way out in the Banggai Regency, feels properly remote. Diving here means mostly drift dives along sloping reefs, just letting the current do the work. We’ve seen good numbers of pelagics cruising by, especially various tuna and reef sharks on the deeper sections. It’s not the most colourful reef in Sulawesi, but the sheer volume of fish can be impressive, often with schools of fusiliers and trevally swirling overhead. This spot is best for divers comfortable with open water and consistent current, looking for that genuine off-the-beaten-path feel.
