With 238+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, giant moray eels, pygmy seahorses, seahorses and sperm whales - Pasi Besar offers some of Sulawesi's richest reef diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest June, October, November.
Pasi Besar in Sulawesi offers a solid coral reef dive. We’ve found the site reliable for a good cross-section of reef fish – parrotfish grazing, a few snapper lurking in the overhangs. It’s a straightforward dive, well-suited for divers who appreciate a healthy reef without the need for big pelagics. Visibility is generally good, making for relaxed cruising over the coral.
