With 238+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, giant moray eels, pygmy seahorses, seahorses and sperm whales - Pulau Putus offers some of Sulawesi's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest June, October, November.
Pulau Putus offers a straightforward dive, characteristic of many sites around Sulawesi. We've found the general conditions here to be calm, with decent visibility most of the year. Expect to see the usual suspects: schooling reef fish, smaller nudibranchs if you look closely, and the occasional turtle passing through. It's a relaxed spot, good for a second dive or for divers getting comfortable in these waters.
