FOKUS - Sumatra

Fokus is a decent wreck dive, tucked away from the more famous Sumatran spots. We’re talking about a motor vessel, lying upright at 24 metres, which makes for a straightforward penetration if you’re comfortable with overhead environments. It’s listed as a "dangerous wreck" which, for us, just means a bit of extra caution and perhaps a solid dive torch to cut through the shadows inside. You’ll find resident schooling fish, maybe a curious snapper or two peeking from portholes, and the usual suspects of coral growth colonising the hull. It’s a good stop for wreck enthusiasts who appreciate a quieter site without the crowds, offering a solid hour of exploration.
