TA 017 is a shallow, dangerous wreck in Sumatra, sitting at just 1m depth. It’s more of an archaeological site than a dive, really, presenting a unique opportunity for snorkelers or very shallow freedivers to observe history up close. We’d classify it as a surface exploration, offering a glimpse into the past rather than a typical dive experience. Keep an eye out for any small reef fish that might be sheltering in its metal remains.
