KERIMA ANN TREASURE - Mabul & Kapalai

The Kerima Ann Treasure is a wreck site for those who appreciate the slower pace of a good muck dive, but with something substantial to explore. This isn’t a pristine, intact ship, mind you. She’s a motor vessel that sank alongside the pier years ago while loading cargo, so what you get is a broken up hull and superstructure scattered across the sand. We love it for the way the debris has become a home. We’ve spent whole dives here just poking around the nooks and crannies. You’ll find moray eels peering out from beneath collapsed sections of hull and stonefish camouflaged against the encrusted metal. Our favourite part? The sheer number of nudibranchs. We’ve spotted some real stunners, often on the same piece of corroded steel. It’s an easy dive, shallow and often with mild current, making it perfect for photographers who want to take their time getting that perfect macro shot. If you’re looking for big pelagics, this isn’t your spot. But if you get a thrill from finding the tiny, the camouflaged, and the wonderfully strange, then Kerima Ann is a genuine treat.
