Why dive here
With 119+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue-spotted stingrays, giant moray eels, grey reef sharks, pygmy seahorses and sea turtles - Coral gardens offers some of Mabul & Kapalai's richest reef diving.
Coral Gardens in Mabul offers exactly what the name suggests: a sprawling field of hard corals. We've often found small reef sharks cruising the edges here, and the resident turtles are usually quite relaxed about divers. It’s a gentle drift, easy to navigate, making it a good choice for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed second dive. Visibility hovers around 15 metres on a good day, allowing the corals to really stand out.
