AWAS - Mabul & Kapalai

AWAS sits just off Mabul, a straightforward boat dive often done as a second or third dip. It's mostly a sandy slope, broken up by artificial structures like concrete blocks and old fishing nets that have created little mini-reefs. Look closely around these structures and you'll often find frogfish, ribbon eels, and various nudibranchs. It's a relaxed dive, good for photographers keen on macro subjects, and suits divers who enjoy a slow poke around for the smaller stuff.
