Asiasky Oceanus Tours Sdn Bhd. - Redang Island
The team at Asiasky Oceanus Tours Sdn Bhd. are the kind of outfit we appreciate on Redang. They run a PADI 5 Star centre, which means solid training standards, and while their physical centre is in Kuantan, they operate regularly out of Redang, particularly around Teluk Kalong. We often find ourselves heading out with them for their early morning trips. There’s something special about being the first boat on the house reef as the sun starts to warm the water. They’re big on getting new divers certified, and we’ve sent plenty of friends their way for Open Water courses. Their instructors have that patient, encouraging energy that makes those first breaths underwater feel easy. For already certified divers, we love their approach to finding quieter corners. We've had some cracking dives at Pasir Panjang and especially around Lima, where we've seen everything from blacktip reef sharks cruising the current to schools of humphead parrotfish munching on the coral. Ask them about conditions at Pulau Kerengga if you’re looking for a bit more current and potential for pelagics; it’s one of our favourite spots on a good day. They’re honest about the Redang crowds, and will often suggest alternative times or less frequented sites to avoid the worst of it. We always appreciate that local insight.
