Lankayan - Bimbo Rock - Sipadan

We often hear about Sipadan’s big names, but Lankayan – Bimbo Rock is a reminder that the whole region delivers. It’s a pinnacle, which always makes for interesting diving, and the coral cover is good, with plenty of staghorn and branch corals. Keep an eye out for lesser star coral too; it’s not as flashy as some, but it adds to the texture of the reef. We like this spot for a relaxed afternoon dive, maybe after a morning with some stronger currents elsewhere. It’s not going to blow your mind with massive pelagics every time, but it’s consistently enjoyable, and sometimes, that’s exactly what you want.
