Maco Point
Why dive here
With 142+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue-spotted stingrays, eagle rays, sea turtles and sperm whales - Maco Point offers some of Sipadan's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest May, October, November.
Maco Point offers a good mix of pelagic and reef life. You’ll often find white-tip reef sharks patrolling the deeper sections and green turtles resting on the ledges. It’s a solid site for intermediate divers looking for those classic Sipadan encounters without the crowds of Barracuda Point. Expect good visibility and a healthy reef.
