With 142+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue-spotted stingrays, eagle rays, sea turtles and sperm whales - Pancang offers some of Sipadan's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest May, October, November.
Pancang sits on Sipadan’s shallower western side, a good spot for newer divers. The reef here levels out at a gentle 19 metres, making it easy to cruise along. You’ll often find green turtles resting on the sandy patches or browsing the corals. It's a relaxed dive, ideal for getting comfortable in the water and observing the smaller reef activity without strong currents.
