With 142+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue-spotted stingrays, eagle rays, sea turtles and sperm whales - Soon Yuan 20 offers some of Sipadan's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest May, October, November.
Soon Yuan 20 is a small barge resting at 12 metres, offering an easy exploration for newer wreck divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon dive. The wreck itself isn't huge, but it's completely encrusted, with plenty of small nudibranchs and flatworms making their home on the metal. We’ve spotted large schools of yellowtail barracuda circling above the superstructure and occasionally a patrolling grey reef shark. It's a straightforward dive, good for sharpening those buoyancy skills around an artificial reef.
