With 142+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue-spotted stingrays, eagle rays, sea turtles and sperm whales - South Reef offers some of Sipadan's richest reef diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest May, October, November.
South Reef in Sipadan offers a gentle drift along a sloping coral garden. We often see green turtles here, munching on soft corals, and smaller reef sharks resting on the sandy patches. It's a relaxed dive, good for photographers wanting time with macro subjects or divers just looking for an easy fin.
