With 142+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue-spotted stingrays, eagle rays, sea turtles and sperm whales - Sulug Reef offers some of Sipadan's richest reef diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest May, October, November.
Sulug Reef offers a solid coral dive in Sipadan, often a good second or third dive of the day when the big stuff has moved on. We usually find schools of jacks here, sometimes barracudas cruising the reef edge. It’s a pleasant drift, generally pretty easygoing, suitable for less experienced divers looking to soak up the reef atmosphere without strong currents.
