With 107+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles, whale sharks and pufferfish - Malang Rock offers some of Tioman Island's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, November.
Malang Rock offers a straightforward dive around a substantial rocky outcrop. We usually find pretty decent visibility here, letting us explore the nooks and crannies where groupers like to hang out. It’s a solid spot for a second dive or for those looking for a relaxed exploration of Tioman’s simpler rock formations. Expect to see some schooling fish and the occasional turtle passing by.
