With 107+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles, whale sharks and pufferfish - Pulau Pinang offers some of Tioman Island's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, November.
Pulau Pinang usually serves as a second dive when conditions elsewhere are a bit sporty. It’s a shallow site, often just 10-12 metres, with decent soft corals and a collection of reef fish like snapper and fusiliers. We’ve found a turtle or two here before, usually green sea turtles munching on the corals. It’s a gentle dive, good for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon.
