Why dive here
With 107+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles, whale sharks and pufferfish - Riverview offers some of Tioman Island's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, November.
Riverview sits right off the beach, a sheltered, shallow spot perfect for beginners. The reef here is mostly hard coral patches with plenty of small reef fish like damselfish and parrotfish darting around. It’s a good place for buoyancy practice or a relaxed long dive, especially if you’re just starting out. We often see turtles pass through too.
