With 107+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles, whale sharks and pufferfish - Soyak Trench offers some of Tioman Island's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, November.
Soyak Trench is a straightforward dive off Tioman, maxing out at 20 meters. It’s an intermediate spot, mostly because currents here can pick up, so be ready for a drift. You’ll spend most of your time finning along a sloping reef, looking into cracks for nudibranchs and smaller reef fish. It's a decent enough spot for a second dive or if you’re looking for a relaxed exploration rather than dramatic topography.
