Fan Forest Pinnacle - Mergui Archipelago

Fan Forest Pinnacle, a site we've always found reliably interesting in the Mergui. It’s a straightforward pinnacle dive, dropping to about 26 metres, making it a good fit for intermediate divers. The real draw here, as the name suggests, is the sheer density of sea fans, forming these dense, colourful groves on the deeper sections. We’ve often found schools of trevally circling, and we like to take our time scanning the cracks for pipefish or even the occasional ornate ghost pipefish. It’s not a frenetic dive, but a relaxed one, perfect for appreciating the smaller details and the sheer beauty of the gorgonians.
