Western Rocky Island - Mergui Archipelago
Western Rocky Island sits a little north of the Surin Islands, an outpost for what feels like bigger things. The real draw here is a 30-meter tunnel, dropping to about 25 meters, which often has a few nurse sharks napping inside. Outside the tunnel, the walls offer solid diving, with some decent spots to drift and keep an eye out for larger pelagics passing by. It’s a good spot if you’re looking for a slightly different experience than the usual reef dives, especially if you enjoy exploring a natural tunnel.
