With 87+ marine species recorded in the area - including clownfish, lionfish and pufferfish - Fantasea Reef offers some of Anilao's richest reef diving. Water ranges 27-31°C, warmest May, June, July.
Fantasea Reef offers a good introduction to Anilao's coral environments. It’s mostly a slope, running down to about 20 metres, with patches of hard and soft corals where we often spot nudibranchs and small reef fish. Currents are typically mild here, making it a comfortable spot for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed second dive. Visibility is usually consistent, around 15-20 metres on a good day.
