SAN FRANCISCO DE ASSISI - Dumaguete

The San Francisco de Assisi wreck, a landing craft sunk off Dumaguete in 1992, sits upright in just 10 metres of water. It's a proper little time capsule down there. We found a few resident lionfish hanging out in the cargo hold, and a school of batfish often cruises by overhead, curious but keeping their distance. Because of its shallow depth, this spot is perfect for a relaxed extended bottom time or even a second dive. You can really take your time poking around the superstructure, watching the damselfish dart through the coral growth that’s started to colonise the metal.
