Sumilon Sanctuary - Dumaguete
Sumilon Sanctuary is a solid choice when you're looking for an easy dive out of Dumaguete. The reef tops out around 5m and slopes gently down to 22m, making it ideal for beginners or those wanting a relaxed swim-through. You'll find plenty of resident anthias flitting around the hard coral patches, and we often spot whitetip reef sharks resting under ledges in the sand channels. Keep an eye out for blue-spotted rays gliding across the bottom. It's a protected area, so the fish are quite comfortable with divers, offering some good photo opportunities.
