CHIN SHENG NO 6 - Palawan
Chin Sheng No 6 isn't your average pristine wreck dive, and that's precisely why we love it. This isn't a deep, dramatic plummet, but an accessible, fascinating piece of history grounded right on the surface. We've spent many hours here, hovering over the bow and stern sections that poke above the water, feeling the warm tropical sun on our backs. The fishing vessel ran aground back in '92 and was simply abandoned, which means it's had decades for marine life to really move in. Drop below the surface and the ship's skeleton is completely cloaked in soft corals, anemones, and sponges. You’ll see schools of fusiliers so thick they momentarily block the light, then suddenly dart away as a snapper glides past. We always find moray eels peeking from every crevice, and the occasional turtle cruises by, seemingly unbothered by our presence. This wreck is perfect for less experienced divers or anyone who just wants a long, relaxed exploration without worrying about bottom time. Our favourite part? Exploring the engine room, now an artificial cavern for countless glassfish. It's a real lesson in how nature reclaims its own.
