Matuya Reef
Why dive here
Matuya Reef is a reef dive where divers can encounter sea turtles and sperm whales. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest May, June, July.
Matuya Reef offers a relaxed dive, a good option if you’re looking for a chill afternoon in Palawan. We've often found decent visibility here, letting us spot the resident blue-scaled wrasse and the chunky banded maori wrasse moving across the coral. Keep an eye out for the Rosy frogfish; they’re masters of camouflage, tucked away among the bommies. It’s a comfortable site, making it a good fit for newer divers or for shaking off the rust after a break. While not an adrenaline rush, it's a pleasant way to spend an hour underwater.
