Zhongzhou/Ban Than Reef - Palawan

Zhongzhou Reef, also known as Ban Than, gives us a good look at some healthy coral systems in Palawan. It’s not one of those dramatic wall dives, but rather a sloping reef where we’ve often found ourselves drifting gently over fields of whip corals and small bommies. Look closely among the nooks for juvenile reef fish and you’ll likely spot nudibranchs if you’re patient. It's a relaxed dive, perfect for photographers wanting to take their time or for newer divers getting comfortable with reef exploration in the region.
