Sagay Marine Reserve
Why dive here
With 554+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, manta rays and mobula rays (devil rays) - Carbin Reef offers some of Visayas's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest May, June, October.
Carbin Reef offers a straightforward dive through its coral formations. We’ve found it’s a decent spot for newer divers to get comfortable, with generally gentle conditions. You’ll spot the usual reef fish, and sometimes a bar-tailed godwit might make an appearance overhead. It’s not the most dramatic site in Visayas, but it's a pleasant way to spend an hour underwater.
