With 554+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, manta rays and mobula rays (devil rays) - Daquio Island offers some of Visayas's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest May, June, October.
Daquio Island offers a pleasant dive, mostly a gentle slope down to around 20 metres. We've seen a good variety of nudibranchs here, along with the usual reef fish like triggerfish and parrotfish. Visibility often holds up well, making it a good spot for newer divers looking for an easy-going entry into the Visayas diving scene. It’s a solid choice for a relaxing afternoon dive.
