With 554+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, manta rays and mobula rays (devil rays) - Hilutungan Island offers some of Visayas's richest reef diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest May, June, October.
Hilutungan Island delivers a straightforward Visayan dive. We've often found schools of batfish hanging out near the wall, with anthias flitting about the coral patches. It’s a good spot for a relaxed drift, generally with mild currents, making it suitable for newer divers looking for an easy experience after some instruction. The visibility is usually dependable, a solid 15 to 20 metres on most days.
