JAGUAR (PROBABLY) - Visayas

Alright, let’s talk about the Jaguar (Probably). We’re going with ‘probably’ because while it’s clearly a landing craft, its actual identity is still a bit of a mystery, which frankly, only adds to the charm. This isn't a deep dive, peaking at 10 metres, so it’s perfect for just about anyone, even those newer to wreck diving who want to get a feel for it without the pressure of depth or currents. What we love here is how accessible it is. You can spend a good chunk of time just finning around, exploring the hull. Schools of yellow snappers often orbit the structure, their scales catching the light, and we’ve seen some hefty lionfish tucked into crevices. Keep an eye out for nudibranchs, too – the flat, exposed metal is often a canvas for them. Our favourite part? Peering into the open sections of the wreck, where glassfish shimmer like liquid silver. It's a proper swim-through in parts, but nothing too tight or committing. It’s a gentle, intriguing wreck dive, a real historical snippet, and a lovely place to spend an hour or so underwater.
