Mandarin City in the Visayas is a popular spot for divers seeking out the elusive mandarin fish. We've found the best time to see these colourful little gobies is just before sunset, when they emerge from the coral rubble for their mating dance. It's a shallow dive, generally around 5-10 metres, making it perfect for photographers or divers who prefer longer bottom times without deep decompression limits. Keep an eye out for other macro life in the sandy patches while you wait for the main event.
