Peter s Wreck - Visayas

Peter’s Wreck, tucked away in the Visayas, is one of those sites that just feels right from the moment you drop. We love the immediate sense of history as the shape of the old fishing trawler materialises through the blue. It’s not a massive wreck, but it’s wonderfully intact, sitting upright with a slight list. You can fin right through the wheelhouse, imagining the old captain at the helm, and the cargo holds offer some easy penetration for those comfortable with overhead environments. Our favourite part has to be the resident batfish school that congregates near the bow, so accustomed to divers they’ll often circle you curious. Look closely for pygmy seahorses on the surrounding gorgonian fans, especially if there’s a gentle current. It’s a fantastic dive for advanced open water divers keen to explore a friendly wreck without the complexity of deep decompression, and the light that filters through the superstructure is just lovely.
