Semakau Fish Farm - Southern Islands
Semakau Fish Farm isn't your typical coral reef dive, and we're okay with that. This site offers a really interesting glimpse into an artificial environment that’s now thriving with life. You'll drop down onto a sandy bottom, sometimes a little silty, but keep your eyes peeled for nudibranchs, pipefish, and small crabs sheltering among the discarded structures and old nets. It’s an intermediate dive, mainly because visibility can be temperamental and there’s often a gentle current to contend with. We’d suggest this spot for macro lovers or anyone keen to see how resilient marine life can be, carving out a home in unexpected places.
