With 158+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, mobula rays (devil rays), whale sharks and pufferfish - Ko Tae Nai offers some of Gulf of Thailand's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Ko Tae Nai is a shallow spot, topping out at 13 meters, making it a good choice for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon. You'll find a mix of hard corals, often with small groups of fusiliers and damselfish darting about. It’s a comfortable dive, rarely challenging, and a decent place to get some buoyancy practice in the Gulf. We’d suggest it for an easy second or third dive of the day.
