With 158+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, mobula rays (devil rays), whale sharks and pufferfish - Koh Rangka Chio / เกาะรังกาจิว offers some of Gulf of Thailand's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Koh Rangka Chio is a gentle introduction to Gulf of Thailand diving. The site tops out at 12 metres, making it ideal for anyone just starting out or looking for a relaxed, shallow dive. You’ll find schools of yellowtail barracuda cruising around, along with plenty of anemonefish darting through their homes. We often spot pipefish tucked into the nooks, and if you’re patient, a blue-spotted stingray might glide past the sandy patches. It’s a good spot to build confidence, or just unwind with an easy hour underwater.
