Sail Rock, Thailand - Gulf of Thailand

We always enjoy a trip out to Sail Rock. It’s a granite pinnacle rising from the seabed, sometimes peeking out above the surface, sometimes not. Our favourite feature is the "chimney," a vertical swim-through that starts around 5m and exits at 18m, usually with schools of fish swirling inside. Look for resident moray eels tucked into the cracks and keep an eye on the blue water – we’ve seen barracuda and even whale sharks pass by here, especially during plankton blooms. It’s a solid dive for newer divers looking to stretch their bottom time without too much current.
