SANG THAI - Gulf of Thailand
The Sang Thai, resting in a shallow seven metres, is more a collection of scattered parts than a traditional wreck, but it's still a neat dive. She was a motor vessel, capsized during a typhoon in 1972, and has since been broken up for scrap, leaving behind a jumble of metal. You'll weave through twisted beams and plates, often finding small snapper and fusiliers darting amongst the wreckage. It’s a site best suited for divers who enjoy poking around tight spaces and exploring how nature reclaims man-made structures. The low depth means longer bottom times, perfect for photographers or those just looking for a relaxed exploration.
