HMS Tally-Ho - Koh Lanta & Phi Phi

The HMS Tally-Ho isn’t just a pile of metal; it’s a time capsule sunk in 1944, a proper T-class submarine that feels almost alive down there. We love the way the light filters through the water onto the conning tower, painting it in shifting shades of green and blue. You can often see leopard sharks resting on the sand nearby, completely unfazed by divers, and schools of barracuda circle high above the bow. Exploring the Tally-Ho, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to poke your head into openings – the torpedo tubes are a favourite, now home to clouds of glassfish and a resident moray eel or two. The deck guns are still mostly intact, encrusted with soft corals, giving you a real sense of its history. This site really suits divers who appreciate wrecks with a story, those who enjoy picking out the details of a naval vessel now claimed by the ocean. It’s a dive that rewards slow exploration.
