KAPAL POLIS MARIN KM RIMAU - Koh Lanta & Phi Phi

The KM Rimau is a proper wreck, not just a pile of rubble. This decommissioned Thai police patrol boat sits upright on the seabed at 25 metres, and we love how intact she is. You can still make out the wheelhouse, the deck guns, and even the engine room if you’re comfortable with a bit of penetration. She's an artificial reef now, doing a grand job. Giant groupers patrol the holds, their dark forms slipping in and out of the shadows. Look for the clouds of glassfish shimmering around the superstructure, a real sensory treat as you swim through them. We've seen moray eels peeking from every nook and cranny, and the resident lionfish are always a photo opportunity. This isn’t a drift dive, it's an exploration. Conditions can sometimes be tricky with strong currents, so we’d suggest timing your dive for slack tide if you want to really poke around. Definitely one for advanced divers, or those comfortable in current, who appreciate a bit of history along with their fish.
