KHF 2358 - Koh Lanta & Phi Phi

KHF 2358 is one of those small, unassuming wrecks that often get overlooked for the flashier sites, but we’re big fans. It’s a fishing vessel, sitting upright and mostly intact at a comfortable 15 meters, which means plenty of bottom time even for newer divers. The structure itself is a fantastic canvas for macro life. Look closely and you’ll find nudibranchs crawling along the old deck plating, and we’ve seen some surprisingly plump moray eels peeking out from cargo holds. What we really love about this site is the way the light filters through the water here, illuminating the soft corals that have started to bloom on the bow and stern. It’s not a massive penetration dive, but you can poke your head into a few of the more open sections, imagining the life that once bustled on board. This spot is perfect for photographers, especially those who appreciate the quiet beauty of a wreck slowly being reclaimed by the ocean. Dive it in the morning for the best visibility before the day boats arrive.
