Pattaya Corner - Koh Lanta & Phi Phi

Pattaya Corner gets its name from a small, crescent-shaped bay, not the city itself. It’s a solid, reliable dive, especially when the currents are running mild to moderate. We’ve found it’s best explored with a bit of movement, as that’s when the fish truly come alive. The reef here starts shallow and slopes down, allowing for a good, long dive. Keep an eye out for the Blacktip Soldierfish schooling in the overhangs – they’re a common sight but always impressive in numbers. We often spot Bullethead Parrotfish munching on the coral, leaving their tell-tale trails behind them. Our favourite moment here is usually finding a patch of clown anemonefish, bright orange against their swaying homes. Look closely for the tiny Nocturn Goby darting in and out of the sand, if you have the patience. It’s a site that rewards a slow pace, letting you absorb the details rather than chasing big pelagics. We’d suggest keeping an eye on your depth here, as it's easy to drift deeper than planned. It’s a great option for divers who appreciate colourful reef fish and don’t mind a gentle current.
